Field II

Art in Architecture competition for a primary school in Berlin. At the colloquium it became clear that no space in the playground had been reserved for the project. Garden architects were asked to identify possible sites for "Art in Open Spaces". Shortly thereafter, we received a design plan with two areas designated FELD I and FELD II marked in red, which I printed out so that the pixels were visible. I chose FELD II for a special, flat, plinthed area to be covered in coloured paving. An oriented detail from the plan should be made as an enamelled image and hung in the foyer.

Christian Hasucha won the Art in Architecture competition with his design for Field II and realised it in cooperation with the companies, Grün & Bunt, Fehmer, Omeras and the Berlin-Lichtenberg District Council in spring, 2016. Since autumn, 2016, Rosica Schlenker has been giving regular dance courses on the area.
