Helmut sent me a photo of the exhibition building in Viersen. Immediately, I noticed a down pipe and how beautifully straight it ran over the profile of the building. I decided to install two other ones. In Minden, there were already five.

The verticals have been realised on the gallery in the park in Viersen (during the dual exhibitions ‘over the villages’ with Helmut Dick) and on the Weser-Kolleg in Minden in the context of ‘change of perspective’, a project by the culture office North Rhine-Westphalia of Gutersloh in 2010. The project has been supported among others by Bernd Apke, Tanja Muschwitz, Petra Brinkmann, Ulrike Faber-Hermann, DWB Dach- und Wandbaustoffe GmbH Minden.
